But you know what?
I love it. And I love it good.

I just finished test-mixing a third song “This Is It” for the upcoming album. It’s a song about addiction, written in the style of “Jeremy Thorn in the Concentration Camp”. The mix is sounding bitchin. It’s slamming. It’s dope. Or it’s whatever a native English speaker would say to mean bitchin and slamming and dope.

My typical day lately would go something like;
1) wake up late in the morning and get a couple of fried egg sandwiches,
2) then on to mixing,
3) then boil some spaghetti and put it to rest in 3 minutes
4) and on to mixing
5) then get some curry and rice for dinner
6) and on to mixing again
7) eventually my ears they become hard fried eggs

and by this time, I can’t tell loud from quiet or bright from muddy. neither can I tell a great tone from a horrible sounding piece of poop. So I stop and wonder, “Now what?”

The only things I care about in life are;
(1) music, and
(2) folks from the opposite camp.

With folks from the opposite camp always missing in my miserable little life, and this unfortunate aural condition added on top, I stare at my computer monitor and go “duh.”

eventually, I sleep. Only to wake up to repeat all of the above.

With no major social activities, I live almost like a monk deep in the mountains. And unfortunately, I love it.

This album is taking way more time than I’ve guessed at first since I’m doing every single thing for it all on my own. It’s taking time because I’m making sure the patty is cooked just right and the buns are placed just so.

It takes a lot of time because my music is not a fast-made, cheapness-reeking piece of cheese burger. No, my music is not a McDonald’s burger. I prefer Burger King.

Anyway,,, I just want everything to sound as right as humanly possible. No slacker engineer ruining my music this time

So I somehow managed to finish recording all the parts for VME’s upcoming album yesterday. It was a damn long process.

I’ll start mixing this poop today. Now, our last album “Unacceptable Vegetable” used 24 tracks per song at the most. On this new album, some of the songs take up as many as 60-70 tracks. It’s gonna be yet another long process.

Just bought Metallica’s latest album a few days ago. Sure it’s loud. But everything is a little too distorted for my taste. I’ll take another route for my album.
